•    Finish the chain?    When does it stop?

•    Investigate with other numbers as the starting point.  What do you notice?
            1.    If the number is even, divide by 2
            2.    If a number is odd, multiply by 3 and add 1

•    With large numbers use a calculator.

•     What happens if you change the rules:
            e.g. Change rule 2 to read : If a number is odd multiply it by 3 and subtract 1
